With this book you will learn step by step how to use Watercolor to paint people and portraits that look lively and expressive.
The first part of the book contains all the basics: First the author explains basic painting techniques such as glazing and washing as well as spraying and granulating. She shows you how to create harmonious colour palettes, mix colours, especially for skin tones, and how to work with white spaces, shadows and light.
You will then learn important details about painting all parts of the body and how to depict people in different poses as well as in movement. For portraits, you will also receive important tips about the different parts of the face, facial expressions and hair. The second part of the book contains numerous projects with detailed step-by-step instructions for repainting, so that you can understand exactly how the pictures are created. Here the author shows you step by step how to paint people in different poses and in movement and you will also find many variations for clothes.
In further projects you will learn how to paint expressive portraits in different perspectives. Finally, the author shows you the use of other materials such as acrylic, ink and cardboard. All sketches are available as a free download.
